All LPC applicants and licensees of the Board are responsible for familiarizing themselves with the formal rules applicable to the license credential they hold or for which they are applying. 

The Minnesota Office of the Revisor defines a rule as:

An administrative rule is a general statement adopted by an agency to make the law it enforces or administers more specific or to govern the agency's organization or procedure.

An agency may adopt a rule only after the legislature has enacted a law granting this authority to the agency. An agency rule that is adopted under the rulemaking provisions of Minnesota Statutes, chapter 14, has the force and effect of law. 2150.5000 to 2150.5010 – LPC Rules Related to Supervision – Effective 7/5/05

2150.7500 to 2150.7610 – LPC Rules Related to Conduct – Effective 10/10/05
